Welcome to our website.
Between the mountains and the sea Barmouth occupies a position of great natural beauty where the Mawddach estuary meets the sea of Cardigan Bay. The town is the heart of the combined parishes of Llanaber with Barmouth and Caerdeon with Bontddu. These parishes include four churches, St. Mary’s, Llanaber, the ancient parish church of this area, St. John’s and St. David’s, Victorian churches built to serve the town, and St. Philip’s, Caerdeon, situated about three miles out of Barmouth in the hills overlooking the river and estuary. Each church has its own fascinating history and attraction and together they provide the basis for the varied forms of ministry needed by the communities in this area at the beginning of the Third Millennium.
